Our Clubhouse
The new clubhouse is based at CIYMS, with new changing facilities, a modern bar and a balcony overlooking our astro pitch. Come along and have a look!
Teams
This coming season Grosvenor Hockey Club is fielding 5 league teams at Senior and 4x Junior Levels plus we have a Veterans team (over 35’s), 2x U 14’s, U12’s and various mini teams. We are a continuously growing club so why not come and be a part of it.
Membership
The membership fee for Grosvenor reflects the modern facilities, insurance, UWHU fees, registration fees plus a multitude of other necessities.

We have the luxury of a flood lit astro-pitch, and excellent coaches for fitness and skills training. All members are expected to sign up to our codes of conduct and those of the UWHU as detailed on home page.

Travelling to matches
"If you have driven to matches throughout the season you can download and fill out the travel expense form attached.

Kit
You can obtain kit by completing and order form and returning it to Faith Porter. Kit is normally ordered at the beginning of the season so hurry!

Child Protection and Vulnerable Adults
This is a hot topic. All of our coaches, members and helpers who are over 18 are asked to complete and return a POCVA form. This is provided to both CIYMS and UWHU to run the appropriate checks. Please complete and return with your membership form.

Training
Training mainly takes place at the grounds of CIYMS, which is situated on the Circular Road on the astro pitch, on both Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Tuesday nights is the full club training night.
Thursday nights is principally for those competing for 1st and 2nd XI places, but also for those on other teams who wish to develop their team and tactics skills, both are lead-coached by Nick Johnston.

Directions
Head towards the City Airport and Bangor. Pass the Airport, turn right at the Tillysburn Junction (Tesco's 24 Hour Store). Proceed down the Holywood Road through the first set of traffic lights. Look for church on the left-hand side and turn left onto the Circular Road. Continue until you come to a car park on your left-hand side. The entrance to CIYMS is on the right-hand side of the car park.
Through Belfast
Head up the Newtownards Road to the Outer Ring Junction. Turn left onto the Outer Ring at the bank with the pointy roof. At the next roundabout take a left onto the Belmont Road. Strathearn Grammar School is on the right; take a right after the school. At the end of the road take another right onto Sydenham Avenue. At the end of this road take another right onto the Circular Road. Look for a car park on the right; the entrance to CIYMS is on the right-hand side of the car park. |
