Grosvenor Hockey Club is managed by a Committee of ten volunteers, elected at the Annual General meeting each year. The elected representatives for 2005/2006 are:
Punam - Club Captain
Taking on the role of Club Captain for the third time, am I insane? Lots of different hockey balls to juggle this year from training, codes of conduct for players and coaches, to organizing tournaments, child protection training, running Junior section and a selection day. That’s just a few of the vast number of tasks this year’s committee will be taking on. It never seems to get easier, but at least I have a strong committee behind me together with a great mini sub-committee. Anyone else that wants to volunteer or help just give me a call. |
Gillian White – Vice Club Captain
Having completed a successful year as vice captain last year, I am taking up a second season as Vice Captain. Having also served as Club Captain, I will be able to pass on my vast wealth of knowledge and assist the Club Captain on all matters. |
Kelly Thompson - Honarary Secretary
This year I have taken this role on, it involves taking minutes from committee meetings and dealing with club correspondence. These are just a few tasks as well as helping with the general smooth running of the club. |
Shirley-Anne Cornett – Honorary Treasurer
Shirley-Anne is my name and numbers are my game! No sum is too long or too hard now I am into my 2nd year as Honorary Treasurer. My key responsibility is looking after the financial matters of the club. |
Sabrina Campbell - Match Secretary
From Belfast to Kilkeel, location, location, location is the key to my new and more extensive role. Responsible for organising all the matches (funny enough). I’m the person to contact if you find yourself lost with nowhere to play. Not too many phonecalls please! |
Louise Mercer – Registration Officer.
My job as registration Officer involves keeping all the names, addresses and up to date details of all the members. So let me know if your details have changed and also if you know anyone who’s interested in joining and I can arrange to send them an application form. |
Cara Taylor – Social Secretary
After last season as registration officer. I take on a 2nd year with the committee as social secretary. I’ll be organizing the fundraisers and nights out, so if anyone has any ideas for them, please let me know! Lots of support is needed so I hope to see you all ther! |

Donna Magill - Press Officer
Within my role of press-officer for the 3rd year running , I have the responsibility of producing the ‘Hen’ magazine, updating the website, creating posters and tickets for upcoming events and generally creating new exciting things to promote our club. If you have any ideas for the website or upcoming Hen’s please contact me as new ideas are greatly welcomed! |
